Why should you complete this questionnaire?
My name is Alizée Francey and I am a PhD student at the Swiss Graduate School of Public Administration (IDHEAP) at the University of Lausanne. As part of my doctoral thesis, I have decided to explore the relationship between the open government data (OGD) portal and its users by inquiring about the perceptions of the latter taking the Swiss portal - opendata.swiss - as a research environment. While the development of OGD portal has proliferated at central and local government levels, little is known about the actual use ascribed to the OGD portal by its users. I am thus conducting this research because I believe that without users, the portal has little value as the value does not arise from the portal itself but from what users can do with it. Accordingly, by helping me understand users' perceptions of opendata.swiss, you are supporting the progress of my doctoral thesis aiming to foster OGD value creation through a user-oriented perspective, which I am very thankful for!
Instructions on how to complete the questionnaire
Most of the questionnaire aims at gathering your impressions. Hence, there are no good or bad answers. Read each question and answer in a direct and spontaneous manner. The first impression is often the best and most relevant. I guarantee the absolute confidentiality of your answers, which will only be processed by the research team and will not be analyzed on a personal level. Moreover, I ensure complete anonymity as only aggregated results of the responses might be subject of future publications. Finally, this questionnaire takes approximately 10 minutes to be completed.
